Youth Protagonism and participation in public secondary schools of Minas Gerais, Brazil
Abstract (English)
This presentation has the purpose of analyzing active participation and leadership of students in secondary public schools of Minas Gerais, Brazil. From the ideology of the Youth Protagonism to the representative-democratic principles of school management Youth Protagonism has been an important element of educational policies in our country, being contained in legal documents as well as in political discourse emphasizing Youth responsibility to shape their own future. Based on an in-depth analysis of master dissertations dedicated to investigations on Youth protagonism in public schools of Minas Gerais it aims to present the challenges experienced by school communities either for following stated legal rules or surpassing bureaucratic understandings about Youth participationKeywords (Ingles)
