Abstract (English)

This article explores the history of interactions between anthropology and the armed forces.
Starting from the world wars, and through situations of European (British - German - French) and extra-European (American) anthropological-military cooperation, in order to study the contributions of researchers in anthropology (or SHS), I wish to propose to take stock of the types of contributions that were possible, their consequences and their limits.
By discussing the historical fracture in European collaborations between the Armed Forces and anthropologists, and their gradual recovery from the 1990s onwards, I'd like to propose thinking about the changes in the identity of anthropologists and the military structural evolutions that have led to new partnerships.
Then, on the basis of these elements of the historical past of interactions between the Armed Forces and anthropology, I'd like to propose to think about the themes of scientific collaboration in SHS end linked to the Armed Forces and work on what this says about the nature of the partnership under construction.
Finally, thanks to this historical overview, which highlights both military history and the history of the discipline of anthropology, I'd like to propose a way of thinking about current and future anthropology in collaboration with the Armed Forces, taking into account the realities of the possible roles of anthropologists, the realities of the challenges facing the Armed Forces, and the joint or separate objectives of anthropology and the Armed Forces, and the joint or separate objectives that are echoed or opposed in current attempts at collaboration.

Este artículo examina la historia de las interacciones entre la antropología y las fuerzas armadas.

Partiendo de las guerras mundiales, y a través de situaciones de cooperación antropológico-militar en Europa (británica - alemana - francesa) y fuera de Europa (estadounidense), para estudiar las contribuciones de los investigadores en antropología (o SHS), propongo hacer un balance de los tipos de contribuciones que fueron posibles, sus consecuencias y sus límites.

A partir de la fractura histórica de las colaboraciones europeas entre las Fuerzas Armadas y los antropólogos y su recuperación progresiva a partir de los años 90, propongo reflexionar sobre los cambios de identidad de los antropólogos y los cambios estructurales militares que han dado lugar a nuevas colaboraciones.
Luego, a partir de estos elementos del pasado histórico de las interacciones entre las Fuerzas Armadas y la antropología, me gustaría proponer pensar los temas de la colaboración científica en SHS final vinculada a las Fuerzas Armadas y trabajar sobre lo que esto dice acerca de la naturaleza de la asociación que se está construyendo.

Discutiendo la fractura histórica de las colaboraciones europeas entre las Fuerzas Armadas y los antropólogos y su reanudación gradual a partir de los años 90, me gustaría proponer pensar en los cambios de identidad de los antropólogos y los cambios estructurales militares que han dado lugar a nuevas colaboraciones.
Luego, a partir de estos elementos del pasado histórico de las interacciones entre las Fuerzas Armadas y la antropología, me gustaría proponer pensar en los temas de la colaboración científica en SHS fin vinculado a las Fuerzas Armadas y trabajar sobre lo que esto dice acerca de la naturaleza de la asociación que se está construyendo.

Por último, gracias a este repaso histórico, que pone de relieve tanto la historia militar como la historia de la disciplina antropológica, me gustaría proponer que reflexionemos sobre la antropología actual y futura en colaboración con las Fuerzas Armadas, teniendo en cuenta las realidades de los posibles papeles de los antropólogos, las realidades de los retos a los que se enfrentan las Fuerzas Armadas y los objetivos conjuntos o separados de los que se hacen eco o a los que se oponen los actuales intentos de colaboración.

Cet Article propose de penser l'histoire des interactions entre l'anthropologie et les Armées.
En partant des guerres mondiales, et à travers les situations de coopération anthropologico-militaires européennes (britannique - allemande - française) et extra-européennes (américaine), pour étudier les contributions des chercheurs en anthropologie (ou SHS), je souhaite proposer de faire un point sur les types de contributions qui ont été possibles, leurs conséquences et leurs limites.
En discutant la fracture historique des collaborations européennes entre les Armées et les anthropologues et leurs reprise progressives à partir des années 1990, j'aimerai proposer de penser les évolutions de l'identité des anthropologues et les évolutions structurelles militaires ayant conduit à des nouveaux partenariats.
Ensuite, à partir de ces éléments du passé historique d'interactions entre les Armées et l'anthropologie, j'aimerai proposer les penser les thématiques de collaboration scientifiques en SHS end lien avec les Armées et travailler ce que cela dit de la nature du partenariat en cours de construction.
Enfin, Grâce à ces retours historiques permettant de mettre en valeur à la fois l'histoire militaire et l'histoire de la discipline de l'anthropologie, j'aimerai proposer de penser l'anthropologie actuelle et future en collaboration avec les Armées en tenant compte des réalités des rôles possibles de anthropologues, des réalités des enjeux des Armées et des objectifs conjoints ou disjoints qui entrent en échos ou en oppositions dans les tentatives de collaborations actuelles.
