State Responsibility to Indigenous Peoples under the American Convention of Human Rights

Abstract (English)

This paper will examine how the American Convention of Human Rights provides a tool for Indigenous Peoples to fight climate change, harmful incursions on their lands, and threat to their lands, and threat to their cultural preservation.

We shall examine decisions and/or opinions of the Inter - American Court of Human Rights, interpreting the above Convention, and
related international law processes.
