How to Organize Festivals Today? Challenges of the Climate Crisis and Emerging Participant Needs
Abstract (English)
Festivals are popular forms of cultural practice. Their number and expansiveness have triggered an ambivalent effect of festivalization and further implications for cultural policy. Current challenges for festival organizers stem from the ongoing climate crisis and the evolving needs of participants. As a result, climate responsibility, safety, openness to neurodiversity, and care, have become crucial. We aim to both discuss the findings of recent studies on arts festivals and formulate recommendations. Keywords (Ingles)
